Art clearly not finished but it's functional (I think). I wanted a webGL build working but had problems with it on itch.io. Works on the unity website but haven't been able to fully test it and already noticed some weird bugs in the menu.

"Story":
A disgruntled man has given you a task during the hottest week of the summer. He is an avid pool enjoyer and visited one particular, untouched pool throughout all seasons, even the coldest winter days. However, a recent heatwave has brought the "disgusting" public's attention to this mans beloved public pool and is filling its limited space with low class "degenerates". Your job? Stop them at all costs.
How to play:
3 phases: buy phase, prep phase, action phase
Buy phase: Spend money on items (starting with $50 on day 1). Sell purchased items by clicking the red square.
Prep phase: Plan your defence by placing your purchased items around the pool. Select purchased items by clicking an inventory slot. Click again in the scene to confirm its position. You have 30 seconds to place your items, or you can skip the countdown and move on to the next phase immediately by clicking "Ready". Any items not placed during prep will be in your inventory during the next buy phase
Action phase: Observe. "Degenerates" will spawn over the next 60 seconds. Watch your defence play out in real time as more and more people decide to leave the pool, or watch as people become unphased by your tactics and decide to jump in the pool anyway
Buying items:
Items are listed in the buy phase and inventory with various stats:
D: "Disgust" - on a scale of 0 to 10 how disgusting the item is
F: "Fear" - on a scale of 0 to 10 how frightening the item is
P: "Pain" - on a scale of 0 to 10 how painful your item is
R: "Range" - the range of the items effects
Max: "Maximum per round" - the maximum number of this item that can be held in the inventory at any given time
What do these values do? How do the "Degenerates" work?
When a degenerate is spawned. They will be given random tolerance values:
- Overall tolerance
- Disgust threshold
- Fear threshold
- Pain threshold
Think of overall tolerance as health. The other values are the minimum required stats that items need to affect them. Each day, more and more low class degenerates will get word of your disgusting pool and flock to it like animals, thus increasing the difficulty. (In english: tolerance and thresholds increase by day).
A degenerates overall tolerance is indicated by its colour
- Darker shades of blue: high tolerance
- Lighter shades of blue: low tolerance
Chip away at each individuals tolerance to vanquish them. Upon being vanquished, they will flee the pool.
At the end of each day, you will be paid an amount of money equal to the percentage of degenerates you vanquished. If you vanquish 50% or more of the degenerates, your payment will be doubled. Good luck
